Sid McFarland established Extra Nerds in Athens, Ohio in 2005. Since then, Sid has grown our team of experts, diversified our client base, and we continued to provide exceptional service to our valued customers. Prior to launching Extra Nerds, Sid received valuable industry experience working with a large international private security firm, and received his B.S. degree in Computer Science at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio.
Admin Nerd, Allyssa Mefford
Allyssa provides administrative support to Extra Nerds as well as freelance writing and marketing content development. Allyssa earned her Bachelor’s degree in English and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Ohio University; she also works as an operations director for a local nonprofit. When not being a nerd, Allyssa enjoys reading, writing, and wandering.

Project Nerd, Niki Morris
Niki is a seasoned project manager with experience in both the public and private sectors. She is a proud graduate of the Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs at Ohio University with a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. Niki resides in lovely and historic Athens, Ohio and is the busy parent of two children and two rambunctious dogs. Go Bobcats!

Blessy graduated from Anna University in India with a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communication and is currently residing in the beautiful state of Texas. With more than 6 years of experience in web development, he can make almost anything possible in WordPress. He also has a great deal of experience in Magento, HTML, and PHP development. When he’s not being a Nerd, Blessy enjoys photography and spending time with his wife and little son Ethan.
.NET Nerd, Amos Cabanban
Amos currently currently holds a degree in Computer Information Systems and has acquired .NET certifications to solidify his technical skills. He has been working almost exclusively with Microsoft technologies for the last 8 years. Problem solving is what drove him to become a software developer and he still thoroughly enjoys coming up with solutions that makes sense and deliver value for clients. In his spare time, he loves to spend time with his family and staying active at the gym.

Tim earned his Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Southern Mississippi. He has 7 years of full stack software development experience covering a wide range of technologies including Microsoft technologies and Javascript frontend frameworks. In his spare time, Tim enjoys playing PC games, spending time outdoors in any capacity, participating in Crossfit competitions, and spending time with his family of 4.

Joey has always had a passion for solving complex problems which is what led him to get his B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Mississippi. He currently has 3+ years of experience creating innovative healthcare solutions, primarily in the .NET stack. Joey also enjoys challenging himself and experimenting with the latest technologies. If he is not at his computer, you can find him adventuring in SE Asia with his wife.
